The Dorking Judo Club - Millennium League Round 2 & Grading - Westcroft Leisure Centre July 2003

Round 2 for the Millennium League took place at Westcroft Leisure Centre on Sunday July 6th. Lots of members from Dorking Judo Club took part, either as contestants, or officials. Harry Randall was working as usual as a Table Official and was joined for the 1st time by juniors Luke Ramsey and Carl Pinion. Both juniors will hopefully have earned an extra 10 points towards the club by doing this. Well done to you both. Also, taking an active part was Peter Leach. As well as coaching the players he spent much of the time as the Medic. Unfortunately, accidents do happen at judo contests, but are much rarer than in other sports such as rugby or football. Peter had to deal with a boy who broken 2 bones in his arm, but according to his club he is recovering well. Jill & Richard Anderson were asked to help out as Table Officals and also as the Examiners at the grading later in the day. Chris Crook was also there in his capacity as PR for the county.
