Eleven members of DJC went along to an 'Emergency Aid' course on Saturday 18th held by St John's Ambulance. An important part of the skill set for a judo coach is to be trained in 1st aid and to refresh these skills on a regular basis. Other DJC members were invited along so that if necessary the club has a large pool of people to call upon. Those on the course were the judo coaches Richard, Jill, Peter, Harry, & Ynes, and senior members Claire Wright, Chris Crook, Jo Murray, Nick Boulton, Alicia Newell, and Keith Jackson. So if you injure yourself at the club you now know who to call on ! |
